Vaughan celebrates Diwali!

Members of the community joined Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council for the City of Vaughan’s second annual Diwali celebration on Monday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall.

The event featured greetings from Mayor Del Duca, traditional music and dance performances, and complimentary refreshments.

“Diwali is a meaningful time to celebrate the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. I was thrilled to see so many residents attending our Diwali celebration at Vaughan City Hall. Together, we enjoyed delicious food and amazing cultural performances. I hope everyone had a happy, joyful and prosperous Diwali with their loved ones.”
