Who’s ready to rock around the Christmas tree?
Join us on Dec. 6 for Vaughan’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony
The City of Vaughan invites you to get into the ho-ho-holiday spirit at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.) on Friday, Dec. 6 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Join us for this free, family-friendly celebration, which will feature greetings from Mayor Steven Del Duca, photos with Santa Claus, festive music and stage entertainment, hot chocolate, fun and interactive activities, and the tree lighting countdown.
This annual event brings more than just holiday cheer to Vaughan families. It is also a reminder of the true meaning behind the season – to give back. The City is accepting donations for its 15th annual Toy Drive in support of the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish until Friday, Dec. 13. Event attendees are invited to bring a new unwrapped toy for children aged newborn to 18 years old to help ensure everyone has a special holiday this year. All donations will be directed to the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, which supplies registered charitable organizations, social service agencies, churches and community centres throughout the Greater Toronto Area with new, unwrapped toys and financial donations.
