Canada Day is just around the corner and as you prepare for the long weekend, the City of Vaughan is reminding everyone of facility closures, modified hours and alternate programming effective Saturday, June 29 to Monday, July 1. Here is everything you need to know to plan ahead.

The Nuisance By-law prohibits activities which disturb or are likely to disturb persons, and includes the following:

Leaf and yard waste, food scraps, grass clippings – these are items you may already have on hand to start a backyard compost!

StoryWalk is back by popular demand with five new Canadian children’s books for families to explore! Brought to life by Vaughan Public Libraries (VPL) and the City of Vaughan’s Public Works teams, StoryWalk combines the joys of reading with the wonders of nature. 

Beat the summer heat at one of our splashpads! The City of Vaughan maintains 22 splashpads throughout the community, open daily.
