It’s almost Father’s Day, and many people will be lighting up the barbecue to cook a nice meal, but remember to do so safely. With an anticipated dry summer ahead, Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service (VFRS) is reminding you of the importance of fire safety and prevention before you grill up a storm.

More Community Safety Zones coming to Vaughan

Road safety is a leading priority for the City of Vaughan – especially when it comes to protecting our most vulnerable road users. Starting this week, you will see new Community Safety Zones being implemented across the city, including all school zones.

The City of Vaughan’s 30th annual Vaughan Celebrates Concerts in the Park series starts tomorrow, Wednesday, June 12, with Taylor’s Story – Tribute to Taylor Swift in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. At the launch concert, 1,000 free friendship bracelets will be handed out (one per person), while quantities last.
