The City of Vaughan has been working towards creating the new Vaughan Official Plan 2025 to better meet the needs of current and future residents, businesses and those who visit Vaughan. The new Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Secondary Plan and Weston 7 Secondary Plan will form part of Volume 2 of the new Vaughan Official Plan 2025.

Vaughan Council adopts City’s 2025 Budget and 2026 Financial Plan

Building a city that works for everyone and is guided by Strong Leadership Delivering For You is the focus of the City of Vaughan’s 2025 Budget and 2026 Financial Plan (PDF), which was adopted by Vaughan Council this evening at the Special Council (Budget) meeting.

The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) is the largest and most ambitious development project in the City of Vaughan’s history. More than a decade into its evolution, our downtown core continues to transform. Key city-building projects are in the works, public engagement opportunities are underway and new community amenities are opening for public use. There’s lots to be excited about!

Protect your pipes first!

Whether you’re going away for a weekend or on an extended vacation this holiday season, don’t forget about your home’s water pipes! Low temperatures can cause pipes to freeze, leak or burst if they are not properly protected.
