Vaughan Council appoints accomplished longtime public servant

Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua is pleased to announce that Gus Michaels has been appointed as the Deputy City Manager, Community Services effective immediately. Council ratified the decision on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021. He will also continue to serve as Director and Chief Licensing Officer, By-law and Compliance, Licensing and Permit Services until further notice.

As temperatures begin to drop outside, the cold weather can freeze your household water pipes. To avoid unexpected bursts and leaks – and subsequent expensive repairs – the City of Vaughan is reminding you to proactively prepare your pipes to help keep water moving through your home during the upcoming winter months.
