The good ol’ hockey game unites fans from across the country and brings people together for the love of the sport. To officially kick off festivities leading up to the Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour stop in Vaughan, a flag-raising ceremony was held at City Hall to ignite the community’s passion for the game.

"Today at Vaughan City Hall, I hosted a delegation from Ashanti – Ghana’s most populous region. This was an opportunity to strengthen cultural relations and discuss opportunities to generate economic development.

Residents and visitors in Ward 1 have a new place to play. Vaughan has officially opened its newest park – East’s Corners Park – located at 230 East’s Corners Blvd. The vibrant community space has a variety of fun features, including junior and senior playgrounds with slides, swings, monkey bars, climbing structures and more.
