Vaughan installs Innovative Path System for people with vision loss
The City of Vaughan unveiled an Innovative Path System (IPS) at the Chancellor Community Centre that will help advance accessibility measures at the facility for people who are living with vision loss. The City was the first organization in Canada to implement the IPS, which launched at Vaughan City Hall in 2015. Designed and created by Italian-Canadian company TaLav Systems Inc., the IPS was first introduced to the City of Vaughan through an in-bound trade mission from Italy in 2013.
After a thorough
recruitment process, the City of Vaughan is pleased to announce the appointment
of Mr. Jason Schmidt-Shoukri as Deputy City Manager, Planning and Growth
Management, effective Dec. 4, 2017.

Bevilacqua, Mayor of the City of Vaughan, presided over the Order of Vaughan
investiture ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall. The
Mayor bestowed the honour on 10 people who have played a pivotal role in
shaping the City.

The Honourable Maurizio
Bevilacqua, Mayor of the City of Vaughan, will preside over the Order of
Vaughan investiture ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. at Vaughan City
Hall. The Mayor will bestow the honour on 10 people who have played a pivotal
role in shaping the City.
There
is snow in the forecast today and the City of Vaughan is ready for it. With more
than 100 vehicles dedicated to removing snow and ice from roads and sidewalks, citizens
travelling in Vaughan are in great hands this winter.
The
City operates an extensive winter services and road maintenance program to keep
the public safe during the winter months.
