Vaughan Celebrates Asian Heritage Month With Free Cultural Exhibits And Events

The City of Vaughan will present free cultural performances and display traditional arts and crafts by Vaughan’s Asian community groups in recognition of Asian Heritage Month during the month of May. Events are scheduled at the Vaughan Arts Space, located at Maple Community Centre, 10190 Keele Street, and Vellore Village Community Centre, 1 Villa Royale Avenue.

Vaughan Sets The Record Straight On C.D. Howe Report

The City of Vaughan's management of municipal finances has received a very positive review from a leading Canadian accounting firm. A review conducted by Ernst & Young LLP on the behalf of the City refutes a number of conclusions published in a 2011 report by C.D. Howe Institute entitled “Holding Canada’s Cities to Account: An Assessment of Municipal Fiscal Management.”

Community Comes Together to Give Vaughan a 20-Minute Makeover

​Vaughan’s 20-Minute Makeover swept through the City on Friday, April 20 as residents, schools and businesses participated in the annual community cleanup. Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council joined students and staff from Kleinburg Public School for this year’s event, held as an early celebration of Earth Day, Sunday, April 22.
