Attend the City of Vaughan’s Tamil Heritage Month celebration!

Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council, together with the Vaughan Tamils’ Heritage and Cultural Organization, invite you to join them to mark Tamil Heritage Month and Thai Pongal at the City of Vaughan’s third annual celebration. The event will take place tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 18 at 6 p.m.  in the Maple High School cafeteria (50 Springside Rd.). Doors open at 5 p.m.

The event will honour and commemorate the richness of Tamil art, heritage and culture. Festivities will include greetings from Mayor Del Duca, vibrant cultural performances by Vaughan Tamils’ community and complimentary refreshments. A traditional Tamil dinner will also be served.

Canada is proud to be home to one of the largest Tamil populations in the world, and, in January, the City honours the many contributions that Tamil Canadians have made and continue to make to Vaughan.

Pre-registration is encouraged. Confirm your attendance for the event online.
