Tennis Study

Do you play racquet sports, like tennis or pickleball? Then we’re calling on you to get involved in the Tennis and Racquet Sports Study to help the City of Vaughan assess existing racquet sports courts and identify community needs. The ball is in your court!

Racquet sports continue to grow in popularity among Vaughan’s residents. There are currently 136 outdoor tennis courts within 60 park locations across the city. There is also interest from private tennis clubs and associations to use public facilities as their memberships increase. Due to the high demand, the City is undertaking a Tennis and Racquet Sports Study to identify opportunities and partnerships to meet court time needs.

So, if you’re a racquet sport player, we want to know how you use Vaughan’s public courts! Have your say by:

About the Tennis and Racquet Sports Study

The Tennis and Racquet Sports Study is intended to address community needs (including clubs and associations), respond to changing facility use and demand, and introduce new types of racquet sports, such as pickleball. The study will include a review of court facilities and associated policies, the development of guidelines, an implementation plan and more. Once complete, the study will help improve access and operations, including the number, location and types of facilities across Vaughan.
