Honouring Vaughan’s award-winning events
City wins four awards from Festivals and Events Ontario
Throughout the year, the City of Vaughan provides free, fun, family-friendly events that are also award-winning!
In recognition of its commitment to delivering Service Excellence, the City’s Recreation Services department received four awards from Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) for events held in 2023. These awards were presented during a special ceremonial presentation at today’s Committee of the Whole (2) meeting.
At the 2024 FEO Awards Gala, the City’s Events team was presented with the inaugural FEO Impact Award for the City’s Culture Days events. The Vaughan Celebrates events – Winterfest, Concerts in the Park series and Canada Day – were listed as part of the 2024 Top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario.
The Vaughan Celebrates program includes Winterfest, Concerts in the Park and Canada Day, along with many other events throughout the year the community can enjoy such as cultural and festive celebrations, Volunteer Recognition Awards, park openings and more.
