We’re introducing you to the hardworking teams that support the many residents and businesses that call Vaughan home! Today, we’re sharing everything there is to know about Human Resources (HR).  

The City’s HR team helps create a diverse, motivational work environment where staff can build their careers and grow their passions. This team works with departments across the organization to hire, onboard and retain talented individuals to our workforce and deliver Service Excellence to the community – all while offering flexible work arrangements, enhanced benefits, learning and growth opportunities, and more. 

This busy department is also responsible for overseeing staff salary and pension packages, health, safety and wellness efforts, and employee recognition programs. 

And their efforts are being noticed! The City is an award-winning organization recognized as a Greater Toronto Top Employer in 2021 and 2022, a 2022 Canadian HR Awards HR Team of the Year winner, and a 2023 Canadian HR Awards Most Effective Recruitment Strategy winner, to name a few.
