Vaughan’s 35th annual Winterfest celebration was one to remember!
The City of Vaughan’s 35th annual award-winning Vaughan Celebrates Winterfest, presented by TD and event sponsor Tim Hortons, was a huge success! For the first time, this event took place over two days – on Saturday, Feb. 1 and Sunday, Feb. 2 – at Vellore Village Community Centre.
“For 35 years, the Vaughan community has braved the cold for Winterfest, which is one of the City’s most highly anticipated events. This year, we were excited for residents and visitors to experience double the fun with two days of family-friendly activities, performances and delicious food. No matter the weather, this annual festival always warms my heart, and it was so wonderful to celebrate the winter season with so many friends and neighbours,” said Mayor Steven Del Duca.
Festivities at this year’s Winterfest included a variety of live entertainment and performances, indoor and outdoor winter activities, fire pits, workshops, a live ice carving display, horse-drawn wagon rides, a free pancake breakfast and much more.
