Kardinal Offishall to headline Vaughan’s Canada Day celebration!

Join us at Boyd Conservation Area on July 1 for family-friendly festivities

 

Making plans for Canada Day? The City of Vaughan has you covered with an exciting lineup of FREE entertainment and activities to keep you busy all day long! 

 

Bring your family and friends to the award-winning Vaughan Celebrates Canada Day event on Monday, July 1 at Boyd Conservation Area (8739 Islington Ave.) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., headlined by Kardinal Offishall! 

 

To mark Canada’s 157th birthday, this fun-filled event will include live entertainment, activities, free giveaways while supplies last, and much more. Food trucks with items for purchase will be on-site so you can snack all day. You can also explore the business zone and marketplace with vendors selling or showcasing their products and services.

 

Stage entertainment will start at 10:15 a.m. followed by an official welcome from Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council at 12:15 p.m. 

 

Entertainment includes:

  • Kardinal Offishall (scheduled to start at 3 p.m.)
  • Springcreek dancers and singers 
  • Earth Rangers
  • Bex in Motion
  • Joaquin Nunez and Habana Safari
  • Dance Together Project + Naach For Fun
  • CMAGIC5
  • Redhill Valleys
  • Jordyn Sugar
  • Kreative In Dance Styles

 

There will also be many activities for all ages to enjoy, including:

  • arts, crafts and interactive activities 
  • axe throwing (for ages 18 years and older) and inflatable axe throwing (all ages)
  • bubble zone
  • mini golf
  • an inflatable slide
  • hockey and curling fun
  • recreation pavilion 
  • touch-a-truck 
  • sensory bus
  • ping-pong and foosball tables 
  • stilt walkers
  • free giveaways

 

Activities and performances are subject to change. 

 

Parking is limited. You are encouraged to ride the free shuttle bus with service running from Al Palladini Community Centre (9201 Islington Ave.) to Boyd Conservation Area. The service will run approximately every 15 minutes from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. that day. The first 100 shuttle users from the Al Palladini pick-up location will receive a free giveaway. Parking spots are also available at Emily Carr Secondary School (4901 Rutherford Rd.).
