Watch ‘Elvis Lives’ at the next Concert in the Park on June 28

 

The City of Vaughan’s 29th annual Vaughan Celebrates Concerts in the Park series presented by TD and event sponsor Tim Hortons is well underway! This free event takes place throughout the summer, and the next concert is on Wednesday, June 28 with Elvis Lives – Tribute to Elvis at Sonoma Heights Community Park, 100 Sunset Ridge. So, dust off your ‘Blue Suede Shoes’ and get ready for an evening of live music and fun!

 

This year’s schedule will feature professional entertainment for all ages with genres like disco, pop, oldies and rock. The concerts will take place on select Wednesdays until Aug. 2, weather permitting, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The upcoming schedule is below:

 

  • Wednesday, June 28 (Ward 2): Elvis Lives – Tribute to Elvis, Sonoma Heights Community Park, 100 Sunset Ridge
  • Wednesday, July 12 (Ward 3): Star Power Tributes – Tribute to Sade, Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, George Michael, Chancellor District Park, 430 Chancellor Dr.
  • Wednesday, July 19 (Ward 5): The British Legends – Tribute to Elton John, Rod Stewart and David Bowie, Dufferin District Park, 1441 Clark Ave. W.
  • Wednesday, July 26 (Ward 1): The Caverners – Tribute to The Beatles, Mackenzie Glen District Park, 220 Cranston Park Ave.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 2 (Ward 4): Simply Queen – Tribute to Queen, North Thornhill Community Centre (Outdoor Amphitheatre), 300 Pleasant Ridge Ave.

 

Accessible parking, pathways and washrooms will be available at each concert location. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Find additional details at vaughan.ca/concerts.
