Donate to the City’s annual Toy Drive

All Vaughan wants for Christmas is to gift unwrapped toys to every good girl and boy! Today, Mayor Steven Del Duca joined Jessica Smith in-studio at CP24 to launch the City of Vaughan’s 14th annual Toy Drive in support of the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish.

New unwrapped toys for children aged newborn to 18 years old are being collected until Monday, Dec. 11 and can be dropped off at any of the following Vaughan locations:

In addition to in-person drop-offs, donations can also be made by mailing a gift card or cheque. Cheques can be made payable to “CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish” and dropped off or mailed to Vaughan City Hall c/o Recreation Services – Events Division, Level 300, 2141 Major Mackenzie Dr., Vaughan, ON, L6A 1T1.

All donations will be directed to the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, which supplies registered charitable organizations, social service agencies and community centres with new, unwrapped toys and financial donations throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

Since 2010, the City has collected more than 152,000 toys and raised more than $139,000 in donations for the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish.

QUOTE

“For the past 14 years, the City of Vaughan has proudly supported the CP24 Chum Christmas Wish. Together, we’ve raised more than $139,000 and donated more than 152,000 toys to families in need. Our annual Toy Drive goes beyond the joy of unwrapping presents – it’s about sharing the spirit of hope for a brighter tomorrow. There is perhaps no greater gift than putting a smile on a child’s face on Christmas morning. After all, that’s what this festive time of year is all about. I want to thank all the staff, residents and businesses that have passionately supported this cause throughout the years. I look forward to another holiday season filled with generosity and so many smiles.”

- Mayor Steven Del Duca
