Vaughan City Hall shines bright for the holidays!

There’s some extra sparkle in Vaughan this holiday season! Residents joined Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council on Dec. 6 for the City of Vaughan’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at Vaughan City Hall.

The event featured greetings from Mayor Del Duca, photos with Santa Claus, festive music and stage entertainment, hot chocolate, fun and interactive activities, and the tree lighting countdown.

“I want to thank everyone who came out to the City of Vaughan’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony this year. It’s a time-honoured tradition that we all look forward to enjoying with friends and neighbours,” said Mayor Steven Del Duca. “This annual event is a beautiful reminder that our city is at its strongest when we come together to celebrate our faith and good fortune. From my family to yours, I hope you and your loved ones have a happy holiday season making wonderful memories together.”

This year’s tree at City Hall is a 40-foot-tall Colorado Spruce Tree. It is decorated with approximately 40,000 LED lights.
