Think before you flush

Protect wastewater pipes from blockages

Just because something can be flushed down the toilet without clogging the bowl doesn’t mean it should be. The City of Vaughan’s sanitary sewer system is not designed to dispose of anything beyond your ‘personal business,’ toilet paper and wastewater. Flushing any other materials down your drains can cause damage or plumbing blockages, which can be costly to clean and repair.

New FREE programs to keep older adults aged 55 years and up active and engaged

The City of Vaughan is committed to providing older adults with many programs and activities to help them stay active and engaged. In addition to all the great opportunities to get involved throughout the year, we are now offering two exciting new initiatives – Coffee Connections and Basic First Aid – thanks to funding from the Province of Ontario’s 2024-2025 Seniors Community Grant Program.
