Kleinburg Village Improvements

Improvements are coming to Kleinburg Village

The City of Vaughan is working to enhance Kleinburg Village. Future improvements include adding cycling facilities, more parking areas, roadway and pedestrian lighting, streetscaping and landscape features, a watermain replacement and more. Work is scheduled to begin in 2024.

Active Transportation Facilities - Keele Street Multi-use Pathway

Keele Street Multi-use Pathway

An accessible multi-use pathway has been constructed along Keele Street, extending from Teston Road to Kirby Road. Located at the gateway to North Maple Regional Park (11067 Keele St.), the City’s signature 900-acre park, it enables residents and visitors access to the park and trail network. The pathway was substantially completed in August 2023 and work around the intersection of Keele Street and Vaughan CARES Way will be completed in 2024.

Pavement Management Program

The City of Vaughan maintains approximately 1,200 kilometres of community roads, including making required repairs to existing curbs and sidewalks through the Pavement Management Program. This program helps to preserve Vaughan’s roadways while ensuring safe mobility for all road users.

Preparation 

Vaughan Yonge Steeles Centre Working Group

The Yonge North Subway Extension (YNSE) is happening!

 

The YNSE extends the TTC’s Line 1 service north through the Yonge-Steeles corridor from Finch Station to Markham, Richmond Hill and Vaughan. This inter-regional project will transform the way people travel to and through the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with approximately eight kilometres of track spanning four additional subway stations.
