Dry, hot weather means extra steps must be taken with outdoor fires
Due to unseasonably dry and hot weather conditions, Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service is advising you to exercise caution when conducting permitted open-air burning, and using outdoor firepits and wood-fire barbecues.

It’s going to be a hot one! A heat warning is in effect for the remainder of the week for Vaughan – and extreme temperatures can be dangerous for everyone, especially outdoor workers, older adults, some people living with disabilities and children, particularly infants.
