Mayor Bevilacqua leads signing of Vaughan Accord

Council renews commitment to historic city-building document
 
During a special signing ceremony at the 2018-2022 Term of Council inauguration, Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council unanimously endorsed the Vaughan Accord – a 12-point document that defines the principles of public service and affirms a promise of responsible, co-operative and effective governance.

The following is Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua’s keynote address, delivered during the inaugural meeting of the 2018 to 2022 Term of Council:

Mayor determined to build on accomplishments 
 
Surrounded by family, friends and citizens, Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council were sworn into office during the inaugural meeting of the 2018 to 2022 Term of Council. The ceremony was presided over by City Clerk Todd Coles.
   
Mayor Bevilacqua was introduced by Flight Sgt. Goral Prajapati of the 283 Woodbridge Air Cadets before delivering his third keynote inaugural address.
