Vaughan unveils new Gateway Sign and Menorah at City Hall

There’s a new sign in Vaughan!

Members of the community joined Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council on Dec. 17 to unveil the new permanent Vaughan Gateway Sign outside Vaughan City Hall, which is accompanied by a menorah for the duration of Chanukah.

“Tonight, I was delighted to reveal the City’s new Vaughan Gateway sign outside City Hall. This is a place where the community comes together to celebrate and recognize important events and occasions and this sign will serve as a reminder that City Hall is for everyone,” said Mayor Del Duca.

“Incorporating a menorah for the City to use every year during Chanukah marks yet another step we’re taking to ensure our city continues be inclusive of everyone. I look forward to lighting it at our Menorah Lighting Ceremony on Monday, Dec. 30. I would like to thank Councillor Gila Martow and Rabbi Mendel Kaplan for their partnership and dedication to make this symbol of inclusivity come to life in such a meaningful way.”
