As part of the City of Vaughan’s Thornhill SNAP Retrofit Program, a Home Energy Efficiency and Resilience Workshop is being held on Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Garnett A. Williams Community Centre (501 Clark Ave. W.) in Activity Room 2/3. 

 

Join us to explore sustainable home technologies and ways to improve energy efficiency in your home. For example, learn how heat pumps can lower your energy bills and reduce your carbon footprint, with customizable options for every home and budget. 

 

You’ll also learn about incentives and financing opportunities for energy-efficient home improvements, including air source heat pumps, windows, insulation, solar energy and more, from an industry expert.

The City, in collaboration with Enbridge, Humber College, the City of Richmond Hill and the City of Markham, is hosting a series of Home Energy Retrofit Webinars from September 2024 to December 2024. Sessions will focus on why it’s important to increase the energy efficiency in your home and simple ways you can do so. 

 

Webinars will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024
  • Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024
  • Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024
  • Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024
