While you might be spending more time inside during the colder months, it’s still important to keep winter safety top of mind. That’s why Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service (VFRS) is providing essential tips to keep you and your family safe throughout the snowy season.
Be aware of carbon monoxide risks
The City of Vaughan’s annual Lunar New Year celebration returns! So, mark your calendars and come join us on Sunday, Feb. 9, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall for this year’s event, which will include fun family-friendly entertainment, musical performances, a traditional lion dance and free refreshments.
During tonight’s Committee of the Whole (Public Meeting), Mayor Steven Del Duca, Ward 2 Councillor Adriano Volpentesta and Members of Council recognized Sara Tripodi as the 2024 Ward 2 Civic Hero with a special ceremonial presentation.
Winter brings snow, ice and everything not so nice – but we’re ready to take on any type of weather Mother Nature sends our way!
