Members of the community joined Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council on Dec. 30 to celebrate Chanukah at the City of Vaughan’s annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony.
The event featured official remarks, a DJ, activities, a balloon artist, traditional Chanukah refreshments and more! Rabbi Mendel Kaplan, founder and spiritual leader of Chabad Flamingo, presided over the ceremony.
There’s a new sign in Vaughan!
Members of the community joined Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council on Dec. 17 to unveil the new permanent Vaughan Gateway Sign outside Vaughan City Hall, which is accompanied by a menorah for the duration of Chanukah.

Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council invite you to celebrate the new year with them at the third annual New Year’s Levee.
This fun, family-friendly event is taking place on Sunday, Jan. 19 from 9:30 a.m. until noon at Venu Event Space, located at 2800 Highway 7.
Come out to enjoy a delicious complimentary breakfast, entertainment, activities and a photobooth.
