2023: A new contractor with the expertise to complete a construction project of this scale has been hired by the City and work is now resuming. 

 

2022: A newsletter was sent to residents notifying them of construction delays caused by unforeseen circumstances with the hired contractor.

Attend the Open House on Sept. 26

 

The City of Vaughan is working to enhance Kleinburg Village. Future improvements include adding cycling facilities, more parking areas, roadway and pedestrian lighting, streetscaping and landscape features, a watermain replacement and more. Work will start in 2024 – but you can get involved now before it begins! 

 

Property taxes are due by Sept. 28

The deadline for the third instalment of the City of Vaughan’s 2023 final property taxes is Thursday, Sept. 28. Do you know all the different payment options available to you? 

 

As a reminder, all City facilities are cashless. Here is how you can pay your property tax bills: 

  • Pre-authorized payment plans, including a six-instalment and a 10-instalment option.

Sisters in Spirit Vigil

Edebwed Ogichidaa Kwe or She who speaks the truth (known as Elder Valarie King in English), elder from the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, will lead the Sisters in Spirit Vigil in City of Vaughan for the second year. We invite members of the public to join this event to learn and express solidarity and grief over generations of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and Two-Spirit people.

 

In 2022, this important event received the People's Choice Spotlight Award through ON Culture Days.

Three weeks of FREE events! Celebrate arts, culture and heritage across Vaughan between September 22 and October 15.

 

Free Kick-Off Event & Flag-Raising on Saturday, September 23 from 9:30am to 12:00pm

Enjoy a variety of free interactive activities for the whole family, including arts and craft stations, dance performances, and outdoor activities, with the official flag raising ceremony taking place from 10:30 to 11:00am. ASL interpretation available during official ceremony.

Get an A+ in school zone parking this year

With school back in session, it’s important for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians to slow down, cycle or walk safely, and follow the rules of the road. This includes practicing safe parking habits, especially in school zones.
