Through the Official Plan Review, the City is helping to shape the future of Vaughan. The review is well underway – and the updated plan is one step closer to completion. As part of its development, the draft Part A Official Plan Amendment has been released. This is the first of a two-part formal document detailing updates to the City’s existing Official Plan.

Site Alteration By-law 031-2024
The new Site Alteration By-law 031-2024 authorizes the City to create a new regulatory framework to address and monitor site alteration and the movement of fill, including excess soil. This modern framework includes:
Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council dedicated the fountain outside Vaughan City Hall in honour of Queen Elizabeth II today, which marks the first anniversary of her passing.
