The City of Vaughan’s active transportation network is expansive – it includes sidewalks, cycle tracks, multi-use pathways and recreational trails – and it continues to grow. In fact, more than 125 kilometres of active transportation infrastructure at different stages of study, design and implementation progressed through municipal, regional and partner projects in 2023…. and more work is underway in 2024!
Woodbridge Library - New Entrance Addition
The City of Vaughan will be making improvements to the library, which include:
- adding additional space in the entrance, mezzanine and lower level.
- more windows to allow for increased natural light.
- facility upgrades to meet accessibility standards under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
- new flooring.
- and much more!
Through these renovations, the Woodbridge Library will become a more welcoming and vibrant space for the Vaughan community.

To better serve residents, visitors and businesses, the City of Vaughan redesigned its largest communications tool – the website – to provide a user experience that is easy, enjoyable and useful. And best of all… vaughan.ca is now even more accessible.
Honouring Vaughan’s award-winning events
City wins four awards from Festivals and Events Ontario
Throughout the year, the City of Vaughan provides free, fun, family-friendly events that are also award-winning!
In recognition of its commitment to delivering Service Excellence, the City’s Recreation Services department received four awards from Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) for events held in 2023. These awards were presented during a special ceremonial presentation at today’s Committee of the Whole (2) meeting.
