Reminder to apply: Vaughan’s accepting artist submissions for ARTonBOXES
Submit your proposal by Friday, Feb. 14
Are you a local emerging or established artist interested in contributing to Vaughan’s public art scene? The City of Vaughan is committed to integrating art into the public realm by fostering a creative environment where artistic talent can flourish. That’s why we have put out a call for artist submissions to the ARTonBOXES Program. Interested artists can submit a proposal for consideration by Friday, Feb. 14.
MacMillan Farm Master Plan
MacMillan Farm is a unique part of Vaughan’s history, with deep agricultural and natural roots. The land, nestled in an urban area, is home to barns, heritage homes, sprawling fields, forests, a nature reserve, informal pathways and a creek. As the city continues to grow, this site presents an opportunity to create a space that blends heritage preservation with new amenities for the community to enjoy.
Building Vaughan
Building Vaughan is a team effort. As one of Canada’s fastest-growing cities, Vaughan’s transformation is driven by thoughtful planning, innovation and collaboration. City of Vaughan staff, Vaughan Council, public agencies like the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and York Region – and you – play a crucial role in bringing development projects to life.
Public feedback is a vital part of the planning process and there are many ways to have a say before a decision is made.
