As fall transitions into winter, leaf and yard waste collection will be ending the week of Dec. 7 depending on your regular collection day. Before raking up your lawn and putting materials curbside, the City of Vaughan is here to provide three things you need to know about leaf and yard waste:

1. Do your part to protect pollinators and the environment.

As you gear up to do some Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping, air-filled packaging, plastic bags, Styrofoam, cardboard boxes and more might start to take up space in your home. Don’t just throw all these materials in any waste bin – follow helpful tips from the City of Vaughan to sort them correctly and ensure collection days are quick and easy.

Road safety and the well-being of citizens remain a top priority for the City of Vaughan – and that includes continuing to respond to key traffic concerns. To encourage drivers to reduce their speed, the City has launched a new campaign: #SlowDownVaughan.
