Spring is a perfect time of year to spend outdoors in Vaughan’s parks, which are most enjoyable when kept garbage- and litter-free. The City of Vaughan encourages you to play an essential role in ensuring the great outdoors remain safe, clean and beautiful.

School crossing guards play an important role in Vaughan. Today, on School Crossing Guard Appreciation Day, the City of Vaughan wants to recognize and thank the dedicated team of 114 crossing guards who help children safely travel to and from school each day.

The following statement was issued by Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua after a special presentation during the March 22 Council meeting:
