The transformation of North Maple Regional Park (NMRP) continues! Since the completion
of Phase 1, the park has become a popular destination. The next stage of park
development is in motion.
Keep your vents and exhaust pipes clear of snow
Following this week’s snowfall, Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service (VFRS) is
reminding residents to ensure their exterior vents and exhaust pipes for the
dryer, furnace, stove and fireplace are clear of snow and ice to prevent carbon
monoxide (CO) buildup in the home – which can be deadly.

Cleanup following this
week’s snowfall continues. Road safety is the priority today – and City of
Vaughan crews are actively out clearing the way. Spot salting on sidewalks and
clearing efforts on sidewalks will continue as needed.

Help clear hydrants, sidewalks and catch basins near your property
Did you know that you have a role to play during winter
operations as a resident of Vaughan? If you have a fire hydrant, sidewalk or catch
basin near your property, you are responsible for clearing them of snow and ice.
Shovelled snow does NOT belong on roads
Winter is here and we are in the middle of another snowfall! To help everyone respond,
the City of Vaughan is reminding residents that snow does NOT belong on the
road. In fact, it’s against the law to place it there.

The City of Vaughan is
working around the clock to help keep the community safe. Winter efforts are in
full force as crews began a city-wide plowing, salting and windrow-clearing
operation on main public roads and sidewalks early this morning. Cleanup will
continue on secondary roads, sidewalks and City park paths this afternoon.
