Tonight at 7 p.m., the City of Vaughan will hold the first of three public meetings to discuss the 2021 Budget and 2022 Financial Plan. During this electronic-participation Special Committee of the Whole meeting, citizens will have the opportunity to speak live to Council and learn more about how their hard-earned tax dollars are being invested.

Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council presented Martha Bell with the Ward 2 Civic Hero Award at today's Committee of the Whole Public Hearing. Initially scheduled to occur earlier this year, the presentation was postponed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Winter tips to help keep everyone safe

Winter weather has arrived in Vaughan and City staff are ready to tackle the snow and ice to help keep everyone safe. The City will take care of the heavy lifting by making sure the 2,000 kilometres of roads and 1,000 kilometres of sidewalks are plowed and salted.
 
Residents are asked to do their part, too.
