The countdown to 2025 is on, which means you may be getting ready to ring in the new year with friends and family. Whether you’re going out or staying in, the City of Vaughan is reminding everyone to keep fire safety top of mind this evening.

 

To help ensure your New Year’s Eve festivities are fire free, follow these safety tips from Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service:

The City of Vaughan lights the menorah in celebration of Chanukah!

Members of the community joined Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council on Dec. 30 to celebrate Chanukah at the City of Vaughan’s annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony. 

 

The event featured official remarks, a DJ, activities, a balloon artist, traditional Chanukah refreshments and more! Rabbi Mendel Kaplan, founder and spiritual leader of Chabad Flamingo, presided over the ceremony.
