Emergency Preparedness Week is a great time to educate yourself on what to do in an emergency

Emergencies can happen anywhere and at any time – sometimes without warning. During Emergency Preparedness Week, on now until Saturday, May 7, the City of Vaughan is sharing important information to remind you that you are more prepared for an emergency than you think.

Purchase a park bench or tree to beautify your community


Do you have a loved one or a special occasion you would like to commemorate? Or maybe you would simply like to enhance your community park or trail? The City of Vaughan’s Tree and Bench Dedication Program provides an opportunity for you to beautify your neighbourhood while creating a permanent and physical memory.

You can donate a bench or a tree with a plaque and pay tribute to someone or recognize events such as:

Learn how to safely dispose of pool, hot tub and spa chemicals and water

 

With the anticipation of warmer days ahead, you may be getting ready to reopen your pool, hot tub or spa. The City of Vaughan brings safe and clean drinking water to its residents – but everyone’s help is needed to protect the environment and the source of Vaughan’s water by disposing of water and chemicals safely.
