A leader in accessibility
As the global COVID-19 pandemic evolves, the City of Vaughan continues to keep citizens informed of the latest developments and precautionary measures in place. The health and safety of the community remains the top priority. There are many ways citizens can stay up to date on the City’s latest efforts, including eNewsletters, social networks, web content and more.
Enhancements, cleaning and repairs being made while community centres are closed to the public
While Vaughan facilities remain closed to the public, the City of Vaughan is using this opportunity to complete necessary improvements to its community centres. These improvements will be completed in time for when community centres reopen to the public.
As the weather begins to get warmer and with more people home during the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Vaughan is reminding pet owners that picking up after your dog is not just the neighbourly thing to do, it’s the law.
The City of Vaughan is committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible and accommodating community for all. In recognition of efforts taken to fulfill this mission, the Rick Hansen Foundation (RHF) has awarded multiple City facilities with Gold Certification for accessibility. A live-streamed virtual event will take place on Monday, May 25 at 1 p.m.
Physical distancing measures continue to be enforced
