Vaughan reaches contract with CUPE Local 905

City signs four-year deal with union that represents hundreds of employees
 
The City of Vaughan and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 905 reached a contract settlement that was ratified by Vaughan Council on June 28 and the CUPE membership the following day. This deal represents an important milestone in achieving Term of Council priorities and continuing to support the City’s focus on Service Excellence.

Statement on Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension

I was pleased to join Premier Kathleen Wynne, Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca, York Region Chairman and CEO Wayne Emmerson, Spadina-Fort York Member of Parliament Adam Vaughan and Toronto Transit Commission Chair Josh Colle, at the site of the future Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) Station today to mark the completion of track installation for the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension.
