Please note, a change has been made this year to the number of instalments for the monthly plan – program members are now back to paying the property taxes in 11 withdrawals.

The show went on in Vaughan in 2021 despite the global COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of people tuned in to enjoy  the City’s virtual award-winning Vaughan Celebrates events throughout the year at Winterfest, Canada Day and Concerts in the Park.

The City Playhouse Theatre marks its silver anniversary


In 1996, the City of Vaughan hosted the grand opening of the City Playhouse Theatre when its curtain raised for the first time with the launch of a three-month “Festival of Arts.” Fast-forward 25 years, and the love of live theatre and performing arts still holds strong throughout the city.
