​Vaughan Holdings Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the City of Vaughan, has approved the creation of a district energy business with a focus on reducing energy consumption in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.

​The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) has chosen two City of Vaughan publications as winners of its 2011 Excellence in Economic Development Awards. Vaughan e-Business Link placed first in the category of newsletter/newspaper and, Vaughan Building a Gateway to Tomorrow’s Economy won in the category of special purpose brochure.

Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council were joined today by local dignitaries, residents and City staff to celebrate the official opening of Vaughan’s new City Hall.

Architectural models of two subway stations to be built in Vaughan as part of the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension (TYSSE) are on display at Vaughan City Hall. Scale models of Highway 407 Station and the Station at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, along with information posters, are available for viewing until the end of October.

​The City of Vaughan has published its 2010 Report to Citizens, Planning Tomorrow Together, which is being delivered to all Vaughan households and businesses. The report highlights a number of City initiatives from the past year and includes an overview of municipal finances.

Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council recently recognized 20 Curb Appeal winners for their efforts in helping to beautify the City. The Curb Appeal program features residents and businesses that take pride in beautifying and maintaining their properties.
