You’re invited to Vaughan’s inaugural India Independence Day event!

Join Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council to recognize the 77th India Independence Day at our special event on Thursday, Aug. 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.). 

 

This free celebration will honour Indian culture, heritage and art. Festivities will include greetings from Mayor Del Duca, an outdoor flag-raising ceremony and light refreshments.

Relief from the Zoning By-law is being requested to permit to following changes to the design of the ArtWalk, located within the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre:  

Building A – Addition of one new residential floors, comprising of a two-storey residential loft in place of the space previously occupied by the Mechanical Penthouse (MPH). Accordingly, the new MPH is now located on Building B;

Building B – Taller Mechanical Penthouse to facilitate the District Energy System;

Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council together with the Consul General of Pakistan in Toronto invite you to celebrate Pakistan Independence Day. This special event will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.). 

 

This free celebration will honour and commemorate the richness of Pakistan’s art, heritage and culture. Festivities will include greetings from Mayor Del Duca and the Consul General of Pakistan in Toronto, an outdoor flag-raising ceremony and light refreshments.

‘Let there be rock!’ at the final Concerts in the Park

Prepare to be ‘thunderstruck’! The City of Vaughan’s 30th annual Vaughan Celebrates Concerts in the Park series will come to a close with Who Made Who – Tribute to AC/DC on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at North Thornhill Community Centre (Outdoor Amphitheatre), located at 300 Pleasant Ridge Ave. 

 

Join us for this FREE concert, presented by TD and event sponsor Tim Hortons, weather permitting, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
