The City of Vaughan’s winter crews are here to help you travel safely this winter season. This includes clearing snow that accumulates at the end of your driveway. Here is all you need to know about the City’s windrow-clearing service. 

What is windrow clearing?

Public consultation has been, and continues to be, a vital part of this project. Multiple rounds of community engagement have taken place since the project began in 2017. A virtual Public Information Session took place on Thursday, July 9, 2020 to share design elements and updates about the project. View the presentation here (PDF).

The City of Vaughan’s 2023 Budget process is underway. Along with the budget, the 2024 to 2026 Financial Plan will also be developed. This plan will outline a progressive path to move the city forward, all while continuing to deliver more than 200 daily community programs and services effectively and efficiently. 

The Accounting division:

• prepares annual audited Consolidated Financial Statements and Schedules, and annual Provincial Financial Information Returns.
• processes and issues payments for the City's operating, capital and statutory liabilities.
• ensures the City's purchases and expenses are accurately recorded in the automated financial systems and that these expenditures are paid on a timely basis.
• ensures the City's miscellaneous charges are billed, recorded and collected on a timely basis.

The City of Vaughan has introduced two new features available through Service Vaughan for in-ground pool permits:

Online inspection requests
You can now submit online inspection requests (PDF) for in-ground pool construction projects through the City's online permit portal. Whether you need a fence inspection before you fill your pool with water or are ready for a final inspection to receive your security depot refund, you can now use the convenient online tool to request your inspection.

Crews are out working to ensure residents and visitors can travel safely regardless of the weather … but are you prepared? With snow in the forecast tomorrow, the City of Vaughan is reminding everyone to keep parked cars off the roads during and after snowfalls to allow City crews to clear streets and sidewalks properly. On-street parking blocks our plows from safely passing around parked cars, and streets and sidewalks may not be plowed as a result.
