Five outstanding individuals to be invested into the Order of Vaughan
Ceremony at City Hall on Nov. 8
The Order of Vaughan is the highest civic honour the City of Vaughan may bestow on individuals who exemplify extraordinary citizenship and better the community. Mayor Steven Del Duca will preside over the City’s 2023 Order of Vaughan investiture ceremony at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.) on Wednesday, Nov. 8.
Did you know … Snowplow contractors must have a licence to operate in Vaughan
Are you an experienced snowplow operator or thinking about plowing this winter to make some extra income? Then, you’ll need to get a licence from the City of Vaughan first!
Here’s what you need to know:
Doctors McLean District Park
The City is taking this opportunity to enhance other elements of the park, including replacing the playground, adding a splashpad, building a new shade structure and adding educational/interpretive signage. Work is anticipated to begin by spring 2025 and be completed by summer 2026. These improvements are being partially funded by the Province of Ontario.

As fall’s crisp breeze rustles through the leaves, we are preparing to close our park amenities for the season. But that doesn’t mean the outdoor fun is coming to an end! There’s plenty of time to embrace the beauty of our community and continue enjoying Vaughan’s great outdoors.
