Through the City of Vaughan’s Better Your Business program, five local businesses have made their processes, practices and policies more socially and environmentally sustainable.

The time we’ve all been waiting for is here – to get outdoors and enjoy Vaughan’s parks, trails and sports fields! Many of the City of Vaughan’s park amenities are now open for the season, with more reopening very soon.
Amenities that are open year-round daily from 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. include:
Help protect Vaughan’s water source and environment from spills
Annual litter cleanup and grass cutting around 150 stormwater ponds to begin
The City of Vaughan’s city-wide spring maintenance efforts are well underway and will include cleaning up around 150 stormwater management ponds.
As part of this seasonal work, which begins in May and wraps up by October, the City will complete three rounds of litter pickup around stormwater ponds and grass cutting along the perimeter of each pond area.

Effective April 22, 2024, all Wildlife Removal Companies operating in Vaughan are required to have a business licence.

The City of Vaughan’s Volunteer Recognition Awards is an annual event that honours the outstanding contributions of local volunteers. The 2023 award ceremony took place this evening at Vaughan City Hall with 75 recipients recognized for their dedication to the community.
Protect the environment – do NOT drain pool water and chemicals into catch basins
