With school back in session, it’s important for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians to slow down, cycle or walk safely, and follow the rules of the road. This includes practicing safe parking habits, especially in school zones.
In response to growing transportation demands and the need for increased road safety and sustainable modes of travel, the City of Vaughan is undertaking multiple traffic studies through the Corridor Reviews.
Feeling the heat this week? So are your pets. On hot and humid days, Vaughan Animal Services recommends keeping your pets – including dogs, cats and birds – indoors as much as possible.

If you haven’t checked your calendar, Double-Up Days are back in two weeks, depending on your scheduled collection day! During the weeks of Sept. 19 or Sept. 26, instead of a three-item garbage limit, you can place up to six items at the curb with no paid garbage tags required.
