Canada Day is
the perfect time for people throughout the Greater Toronto Area and beyond to
get out and experience all the action and excitement in Vaughan!
The City of Vaughan is excited to introduce another local off-leash dog area for you and your four-legged friends to explore! This new space is located in Thornhill, within Sugarbush Heritage Park, at 91 Thornhill Woods Dr.
Spongy moths are once again making a home for themselves
in Vaughan, and, this time of year, they’re emerging as caterpillars. The spongy
moth caterpillars are orange, brown and black, and they eat leaves from hardwood trees such as oak, maple, birch and poplar,
and select shrubs. As the City of Vaughan’s staff continues to control the
population on municipal trees, there are also a few steps you can take to help
protect trees on your property.
