Congratulations to Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service class of 2022!
Vaughan Fire and
Rescue Service’s (VFRS) mission is to provide programs to protect lives,
property and the environment from the adverse effects of fire, medical emergencies
and other dangerous conditions. Today, the newest generation of firefighters
answered the call and were officially welcomed into the Service at a graduation
ceremony.
Storm cleanup continues in Vaughan
The City of Vaughan’s tremendous storm cleanup continues. As the heavy rain and strong winds from Saturday, May 21 toppled trees and pushed debris onto roads, sidewalks and boulevards, Vaughan staff quickly mobilized efforts, working extended hours and prioritizing emergencies.

Vaughan dedicates garden in memory of Tony Alati
Today, Mayor Maurizio
Bevilacqua and Members of Council joined the loved ones of the late Tony Alati
to dedicate a garden at St. Jean de Brebeuf Parkette in his honour. His friends
and family raised funds to have the garden installed and held a ceremony on his
birthday – June 10.
Come to the Vaughan International Music Festival this weekend!
This weekend, a first-of-its-kind music festival is coming
to Vaughan’s downtown core – and you’re invited! On Saturday, June 11 and
Sunday, June 12, the Vaughan International Music Festival will showcase music
from cultures worldwide in the heart of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC),
located at 100 New Park Place.
