safely? Road safety remains a top priority, and the City of Vaughan encourages
you to take this opportunity to commit to safe driving in 2022 and beyond. That
resolution and adjustments to your driving habits may save a life.

City continues extensive sidewalk snow-clearing operations
Following Monday’s unprecedented blizzard, the City of Vaughan’s winter operations crews continue
to clear snow from sidewalks throughout the community. Residents walking to
school or work should allow extra time and take precautions on sidewalks.
Windrows 101
The City of Vaughan thanks residents for their patience and
support as crews clean up from Monday’s major blizzard. With record amounts of
snowfall not seen since 2008, crews have worked diligently to keep the
community safe. This includes clearing windrows – a service that did experience
delays due to the massive amount of snow that fell in a short period time.
Vaughan’s natural rinks are back by popular demand
Lace up your skates, Vaughan! The City of Vaughan is expanding
its outdoor amenities and bringing back two natural ice rinks on the tennis
courts located at Maple Community Centre (10190 Keele St.) and North Thornhill
Community Centre (300 Pleasant Ridge Ave.).

Monday’s major
snowstorm is over – but the cleanup continues! Everyone plays an important part
in Vaughan’s winter operations efforts – and that includes clearing snow and
ice from fire hydrants, catch basins and sidewalks near your property.
