Help name our snowplows
Vote for your favourite options by Aug. 2
Blizzard of Oz, Flurrious George and Thaw Patrol – these are just a few of the nearly 400 submissions we received for our Name the Plow initiative! Thank you to everyone who sent in their creative snowplow name idea. It was tough as ice, but City of Vaughan staff have now narrowed it down and selected 20 entries for final voting – and we need your help to pick 10 winners!

It’s National Pollinator Week!
Let’s protect them together
Do you know why pollinators are important to protect? Birds, bees, butterflies, bats and beetles sustain the environment through pollination and are vital to our ecosystem. In fact, you may be surprised to learn pollinators are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat.
It’s time for Double-Up Days!
Place up to six garbage items curbside
Your opportunity to get rid of extra waste has arrived: Double-Up Days are back this week or next, depending on your scheduled garbage collection day! This means instead of a three-item garbage limit, you can place up to six items at the curb with no paid garbage tags required. And remember, household waste does not belong in parks or open spaces.
