Mayor Bevilacqua recognizes heroism of two Vaughan residents

Lui Coiro and Joe Goncalves receive Assistance to a Citizen in Need recognition
 
The following statement was issued by Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua after a special presentation in the Committee of the Whole (2) meeting on Oct. 14:
 
“Earlier this week, we were pleased to acknowledge the heroic efforts of Mr. Lui Coiro and Mr. Joe Goncalves with the Assistance to a Citizen in Need recognition.

The City of Vaughan continues to work closely with all levels of government to monitor and respond to the global COVID-19 pandemic and ensure the health and well-being of citizens and staff. Although progress has been made in the fight against the virus, there is still more work to be done to combat the second wave. Everyone has a role to play in stopping the spread.
