The City of Vaughan recently received a grant from Public Safety Canada’s Joint Emergency Preparedness Program (JEPP) to cover up to 45 per cent of the cost of computers and printers for the City’s Emergency Operations Centre.
“This illustrates how different levels of government can work together to establish a high level of emergency preparedness and enhance emergency response capabilities across Canada,” said Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua. “This investment will reduce injuries and property damage associated with an emergency and can ultimately save lives.”
